Welcome to my Website. This is a small collection of photos that I want to share with many different people. You will find everything from family pictures to studio pictures. I created this site so that I could share these pictures with you and anyone who is interested. I hope you find something here for you.

Fish SquaresThis was a picture of a display in a hotel lobby in San Diego.

A bit of how? The taking of the picture was as simple as find the right spot stand still and click. However this didn't produce a picture quite so perfectly cropped or one with the lines so nicely perpendicular. I was able to fix both of these issues in Photoshop. I used the 'Transform' tool to fix the perspective angles. While there I did a 'Levels' adjustment and of course the crop.

White Fluffy BumbsThis is one of my favorite pictures. People sometimes have a hard time telling what is in the picture. Marshmellows is often guessed.It turns out to be large rocks on a river bank covered in fresh snow at night with a light shinning on it. This was taken in Whistler, Canada.

Neon CrayolaI find this one kind of playful. I liked the orginal but this one makes me smile.

WisteriaI liked this as much the Photoshop effect as the flowers. I used the Filter 'Dry Brush' to get this look.

Ghosts of the Past

This pictures was shoot through a glass window of one of the buildings in Bodie. The light source is from an off camera flash unit that was remotely triggered shinning in through a second window around the corner.

Time Stands Still

This is and HDR photo processed with Photomatix and then converted to a monochrome.

SentinelThis old tree was standing in the woods looking like it had been there a very long time.

I wanted to see just how much I could mute the sun light with my strobes.

Road To Cave BThis is the entry road coming into the Inn. Louise and I got this picture right after sunrise on a cloudy morning.Check out the other pictures from Cave B.link to my other gallery

Home at LastNumber 1It wasn't much but it was home for a family in Bodie, California.

(Selection 3 of 4) This picture was done by mixing two different exposures together. The fountain was f/16 1/5 and the brick in the arch was f/16 3/1 sec. I pasted one copy onto of the other and used a layer mask to select the portion of the brick to let show.

But where is the soda?This was shot with two stobes. The main light had a small softbox on it and the second was bare bulb at low power to fill in the shadows.

Reflection in The Merced RiverThe sun is setting over the Yosemite Valley. The Merced River is in the foreground providing that great reflection.I continue to play with HDR with this picture. I took 6 exposures each 1/3 EV apart. I then used Photomatix to combine them. I like this approach as opposed to carrying around the various filters that would be need to balance the exposure of the sky with the valley floor.You can find other pictures from my visit to Yosemite at Yosemite Gallery

Sunrise on Cadillac MountainAcadia National ParkSunrise on the top of Cadillac Mountian in Acadia National Park, Maine. The interesting thing about this mountain is that it is the first place the sun hits on the Continetal US.Check out my other New England pictures here

These girls were going by and we ended up talking to them. They were a roving Bachelorette party.
