CatchLightPictures > El Capitan at Sunset with the Merced RiverThe sun is setting over the Yosemite Valley. The Merced River is in the foreground providing that great reflection. The color on El Capitan is from the sun just getting ready to disappear.I continue to play with HDR with this picture. I took 10 exposures each 1/3 EV apart. I then used Photomatix to combine them. I like this approach as opposed to carrying around the various filters that would be need to balance the exposure of the sky with the valley floor.You can find other pictures from my visit to Yosemite at Yosemite Gallery
CatchLightPictures > Reflection in The Merced RiverThe sun is setting over the Yosemite Valley. The Merced River is in the foreground providing that great reflection.I continue to play with HDR with this picture. I took 6 exposures each 1/3 EV apart. I then used Photomatix to combine them.
