Louise and I took a long weekend in San Diego. We rode the Amtrak train down and then the Trolley to the Gaslamp Quarter. We stayed at the Hard Rock hotel and spent our time wondering about the Gaslamp Quarter. It was great.

CatchLightPictures > Louise is standing near the Trolley stop that is directly across from our hotel (The Hard Rock).
CatchLightPictures > Many of the pubs have patio like areas. These are really just part of the sidewalk that they have claimed and enclosed with railings. We have fun sitting at the railing of one and watching the people go by.
CatchLightPictures > These girls were going by and we ended up talking to them. They were a roving Bachelorette party.
CatchLightPictures > Sunday morning we walked around looking for a place to land for breakfast. We ended up in a small restaurant serving Mexican food. It proved to be good and a bit different. One of the items on my plate was corn chips covered with Mole.
CatchLightPictures > We visited the Convention Center so I could take some pictures of these arches. The Convention Center is on the water adjacent to the Down Town area.
CatchLightPictures > This was another sculpture that was on display on the grounds of the Convention Center.
