  • <h2>Earth's Rhythm</h2> </br><p>The moon is heading toward setting with Venus leading the way to the horizon. The view is from Maui looking East. The island creeping in on the left is Lanai. I woke at 4:30AM and went out on the balcony and saw what a beautiful night is was so I went for a short walk with my camera. After capturing this image I was chased in by the rain.</p></br> <p>I setup the camera so that I could have a long exposure for the soft fluffy waves and a small aperture so the moon would have a star affect. The wide angle lens was used to get a nice expanse of the shore and to minimize the star/planet streaks.</p></br> <p>In Lightroom I converted this to a duo-tone of red and blue.   • This is from a visit to the San Juan Islands. The truck was parked on an oyster farm. I had first thought to make it a pure black and white but then I left the red color in from the original.

  • <h2>Home at Last</h2><h3>Number 2</h3>It wasn't much but it was home for a family in Bodie, California.
  • <h2>Looking In</h2> This is a scene inside one of the homes in Bodie. It felt more like they left in a mild panic and didn't bother taking all of their possessions.<br> I took this shoot through the window of the house looking in. The lighting is from a stobe held in another window around the corner of the room.
  • <h2>Desert Rocks</h2> </br> From Joshua Tree National Park. </br> This is eight images stitched together. Each image was taken with the camera in portrait orientation.
