  • A view of the Eureka Dunes. The dunes are the small bit on the left. We are still many miles away.
  • A pair of dust devils spun up while we were enjoying the view. To the left is the Eureka Dunes. This picture was take on the Death Valley Road.

When I stepped out of the FJ you could smell the sulfur.

  • Louise was running around on The Grandstand in Death Valley.
  • This is what the lake bed looks like at The Racetrack in Death Valley.
  • This is one of the rocks on The Racetrack. The rocks appear to have moved by themselves. The believe that the rocks move when the lake bed fills enough with water and then freezes. The wind is able to move the rock and the ice and leave the lake bed more or less untouched.

  • Louise and I took a moment to pose for a picture.
  • The end of the adventure. This is where we came out after going into Death Valley a Big Pine. While the sign says 100 miles I think we did more like 170 from Big Pine. 150 of which was on dirt.

So I added the reflection and the water in Photoshop to suggest what it might look like with water in the dry lake.
