In the Mammoth area there is a man made lake that attracts birds. We visited the lake this time and saw serveral of these types of birds.

Thanks to my brother Mark for the identification of this one.
• In the Sherwin Creek Campground area there are these wild onions growing everywhere. We picked some an ate them. They are very much like green onions. It would have been nice to be there about a week later when they all bloomed.
• One of the places we like to visit is the valley leading up to Laurel Lake's. This valley has Laurel Creek running through it. You can fish the creek but the size limit is eighteen inches minimum. This means you don't find too many fish that you can keep.
The road is quite rough getting up to the lake and when we went this time it was still covered with snow near the top.
• I was practicing my photography with a flash during the day. This little dandelion was my victim.
• On one of our hikes we came across this flower. I'm hoping somebody tells me what it is.

• This old cabin is near Sherwin Creek. It is owned by the forestry service and is quite old. There is no indication what it was used for in the past. It currently stands closed up and unused.
